Announcing the Spring 2022 Artists-in-Residence

The Printing Museum is pleased to announce the Spring 2022 class of the Museum’s Artist-in-Residence Program. The artists will join the vibrant, creative community at the museum and use our studio spaces and teaching resources to create unique bodies of work.

Launched last fall of 2020, the Artists-in-Residence provides access to TPM studios, one-on-one instruction in book arts, mentorship, and a materials stipend. Each artist will create a unique body of work from the residency and donate an edition to the museum.

Welcome!

Cynthia Giron

Cynthia Giron (MFA – Painting, University of North Texas) is a first-generation American whose painting practice explores early and recent memories of living in-between two cultures. Giron plans to create an artist book/games, drawings, and a paper installation that examines the importance of memories and how childhood moments are intrinsically linked with play.

Nicolle LaMere

Nicolle LaMere (MFA – Ceramics, Texas Tech University) is on a journey to know the cosmos, working with ceramics and elemental materials to create sculptural objects and transmedia installations. LaMere plans to explore the theme of light and serenity through voluminous cast paper forms and effervescent prints, in hopes of generating uplifting moments of healing.
