Introduction to Risograph

February 12 @ 12:00 pm 4:30 pm

Are you interested in scrapbooking and all things paper ephemera? Try your hand at making your own scrapbook paper on the Risograph! In this workshop participants will use paper ephemera, including magazine cut-outs, family photos, handwritten notes, among other incredible ideas, to create decorative scrapbook paper. We will cover different printing techniques, such as mark-making, knockouts, and overprinting, while discovering the fun capabilities of the Riso MZ. The risograph is a Japanese printer-duplicator that is seeing a resurgence in popularity among artists and zine (pronounced zeen) enthusiasts, due to its affordability and unique quality of prints.

Successful completion of the class certifies students to reserve the Risograph during Open Studio.
