Have you wondered how letterpress printers get those cool curves and angles with hand-set type? Wonder no more! This class is for the advanced student who wants to break the grid and take their designs into the “daredevil” world of curves, circles, and diagonals. Students will learn about contemporary and historical tools used to break free of the vertical and horizontal planes. Skills gained will benefit both the platen and cylinder press printer.
Pre-requisite: Intermediate Letterpress or equivalent experience.
All experience levels welcome. Ages: 16+
Optional materials to bring: Springtide Press Daredevil Furniture, a pair of reusable gloves; all other materials supplied.
