This retrospective exhibition documents 55 years of the professional and personal life and his influences of TPM Master Printer, Charles Criner. The exhibition spans from his student years at Texas Southern University, under renowned artist, educator, and mentor John T. Biggers, through his career as an instructor, illustrator, advertising artist, Artist-in-Residence and now Master Printer at The Printing Museum. It features original works of art, drawings, cartoons, video interviews, and prints. The extensive exhibition commanding seven galleries includes works curated from private collections, The Charles Criner Papers and Art Collection of the Cushing Library at Texas A&M University, Texas Southern University, and The Printing Museum’s permanent collection.
