Travel Journals – CANCELLED

April 11, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Travel Journals

UPDATE: The Printing Museum is taking recommended safety precautions regarding COVID-19 and will remain temporarily closed. We regret that this means this workshop will be cancelled, but look forward to scheduling it again at a future date! If you have purchased tickets for this workshop, our staff will be reaching out to you with options. We will still be available to serve our community by email, and continue to closely watch the developing situation. Stay healthy, Houston!

Wherever you go and however you like to get there, there’s a journal bound to be the perfect traveling companion for you. In this updated workshop, we’ll make a cohesive set of travel books that encompass four classic book formats in one neat ensemble.

Our case-bound pocket portfolio, with a topographic map cover, contains both a Japanese wrapped-back journal (also with pockets!) and a single signature pamphlet stitch notebook. A separate concertina cardholder folded from a road map is perfect for holding the business cards of your favorite stops along your route.

You will come away from this workshop packed with book ideas and ready to roll. You are welcome to bring any maps you want to use – about 12” tall x 28” long — but plenty of road-worthy materials will be provided.

Registration: $120 including materials; members receive a 10% discount. Become a member today!
Members must log in to activate the discount. If you don’t have a login, please contact us at info[at]printingmuseum.org.
