Stab Bindings

Ages: best suited for those ages 13+
In this workshop participants will learn two different variations of Stab Bindings. These bindings combine decorative stitching, single sheets or folios and a folded paper cover. The cover could be made from participants’ own 2D work or from purchased decorative paper.
Tools required (gather yourself): Olfa/Xacto/scalpel-style knife with sharp blade, bone folder, binder clip, metal ruler (at least 12”), cutting mat, scissors, glue stick or paste & a brush, waste paper, pencil, hammer, and a scrap piece of wood (approximately 8’’x10’’) that you can hammer on top of.
Registration: $100, includes a $25 materials kit mailed to you via US flat-rate shipping (US-only please; contact us if you’re internationally-based and wish to source your own supplies). Please note the registration deadline November 20th to allow time for kits to arrive.
