Repurposed Books

September 17, 2016 @ 4:00 am - 8:00 am

This workshop presents ways to re-use “good” books gone “bad!” These projects are designed to show off our love of books and make use (or re-use) of their shape and format. Learn to use thrift shop books to create a variety of unique decorative and useful conversation pieces. Projects include: a Classic Book-into-Portfolio case; a Book Photo Frame—made from the patterned covers of old Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, plus a bonus horizontal book photo frame; a No-Sew Book Cover for your E-Reader or Netbook; and 3-D sculptural folded book wall hanging and desktop cardholders. Lee’s other “Repurposed” book projects will be shown and discussed so you’ll go home with plenty of patterns and ideas.

Cost:  $75 (includes materials)

Dates:  Saturday, January 16, 2016, 9:00am to 1:00pm

Please note that Museum Members receive 10% off the price of tuition. Advanced registration is required. Please call (713) 522-4652 to register.
