Pull paper and make cyanotype photographic prints in this two-day workshop! First, you’ll learn how to pull card-size sheets of paper with master papermaker Kathy Gurwell. In the second session, you will learn to make photographic prints without a camera, using the water-based cyanotype process and sunshine!
Wear clothes and shoes that can get messy! All paper making and cyanotype materials will be provided. Caroline will demonstrate coating the paper as well as bringing some ready-coated paper so that you can experiment before applying the techniques to your unique paper.
Lots of objects and transparencies will be provided but you are also encouraged to bring your own! Relatively flat objects such as fabrics, lace, feathers, plants work very well.
This workshop does not certify for Open Studio.
All experience levels welcome. Adults 18+.
