Paint with Paper! (Youth)

Combine the artistry of hand paper making with painting! In this unique workshop, you will learn how the process of pulling sheets of paper and then use colored pulp to “paint” into the surface of a sheet. No drawing or painting skills necessary. This class will cover various pulp painting techniques, including stencils, collage inclusions, and direct painting. Techniques for making paper at home will also be addressed. Each student will take their handmade sheets home after they have completely dried.
Youth Ages 10 – 17. No prior experience necessary. Be prepared to have arms in water and wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
This class serves as a prerequisite for advanced papermaking classes, such as Papermaking with Natural Inclusions.
Registration: $60 including materials.
