This class will be a hands on workshop where participants will learn best practices for choosing type and advanced typesetting, working with a grid system (and when to break it), as well as how to think conceptually with type. Students will explore and appreciate typography through experimentation. Materials Needed: Laptop with Adobe InDesign or Illustrator and a working knowledge of the software. This class is co-organized by the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA) Houston. It will be held in the museum’s studio classroom. Space is limited.
