ABOUT ANNE-JOЁLLE GALLEY
Anne-Joëlle Galley has experienced various cultures and art throughout her life. She studied art in London and later joined the Art Students League of New York (of which she is a life member); the same school where influential American painter Jackson Pollock studied. Anne-Joëlle, also referred to as AJ, became involved in printing and took classes in etching and aquatinting at the League.
One of AJ’s bucket list items was to work on a stone, which came to past with Charles Criner, Artist-in-Residence at The Printing Museum, and well, the rest is sort of history. With Charles’ guidance and support, AJ crafted an artistic piece that was transformed into a luxury silk scarf made in France. She has graciously named this piece after the street the Museum is located on, “West Clay”. Half of the proceeds from purchases of the “West Clay” scarf will go to The Printing Museum, at no cost to the Museum.
You can make your purchases online or visit the Museum during operating hours (M-F from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.).
