Houston Book Fair

The Twelfth Annual Houston Book Fair will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10am-5pm

On Saturday, November 8^th, the twelfth annual Houston Book Fair at The Printing Museum will delight visitors with a wide range of items from moderately priced used books to rare and collectible volumes. The fair will provide a great variety of material for gift giving or personal enjoyment. The working studios will also be open for a variety of demonstrations led by artists. From papermaking to letterpress printing, to bookbinding and lithography, visitors will be introduced to the Museum’s workshop offerings.

From 10am-12pm, local book appraiser, Kurt Zimmerman will provide free book appraisals (limit 2) for Book Fair attendees. Visitors are encouraged to bring a couple of books and find out how much they are worth.

1:00 P.M.: Dealer Q & A Session on Book Collecting, moderated by Kurt Zimmerman and featuring:

Bud Plant of Bud Plant and Hutchison Books (Cedar Ridge, California)

3:00 P.M.: Ken Sanders, of Ken Sanders Rare Books (Salt Lake City, Utah) and featured appraiser on Antiques Roadshow, will present a talk on "What Makes a Book Valuable"

Admission is $5.00 and free for Museum Members.
